Budhaditya Chattopadhyay, operates between artistic practice and research, living between Kolkata, Mumbai, Berlin and The Hague. Focussing on sound as a primary medium, Chattopadhyay has a PhD in sound studies and artistic research from the Academy of Creative and Performing Arts, Leiden University. Christopher Burchell, was the sound designer for Distance. Having formally studied painting, he has
been exploring sound as a medium of art for the last 15 years. In 2017, he was awarded the National Film Award for Best On Location - Sound Recordist for ‘Remembering Kurdi’. In 2014 he won the MIFF National Award for Best Sound for ‘Have You Seen The Arana’. Currently, he works with location recording and sound post-production documentaries, short films and television. He is also finishing illustrating his first graphic story.

Ekta Mittal, co-founded Maraa, a media and arts collective in Bangalore. She worked as a co-director on the Tin Sheets project since 2009. In 2014, she took a solo journey, following some workers back to their villages and has been working on Birha.www.maraa.in

Jasdeep Singh, is a translator and software engineer based in Chandigarh. He curates Parchanve , a blog on translated Punjabi poetry. He has worked as an additional dialogue writer and translator for the critically acclaimed Punjabi films, Annhe Ghore Da Daan and Chauthi Koot. He likes creative non-fiction, miniature painting, documentary photography and slow cinema. He is translating Shiv Kumar Batalvi’s poems for Birha.

Kiran Rajhans, is currently finding her way around in the world of visual media. She has worked on mathematical mappings for the ease of understanding physical systems. She helped design a magnetic pendulum and also sampled data to determine mating choices of female crickets. She screened films in her Institute and organized short film contests and rooftop movie screenings. She is the production assistant for Birha.

Paromita Dhar, has shot all the films under the Behind the Tin Sheets project. She has also directed her own documentary on Bangladeshi immigrants living in Madrid called In Between. She is currently working her own fiction screenplay and shooting for Birha. http://paromitadhar.com
